Over the past 70 years, northwest China's Xinjiang has transformed from a place with no well-paved asphalt roads nor sturdy bridges to an autonomous region with a total highway mileage of more than 5,000 kilometers. Roads, highways, railways and airports have brought more opportunities to Xinjiang and happiness to the people there.
